Dr Glenis Scadding
Glenis Scadding is Honorary Consultant Physician in Allergy and Rhinology at the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital, and Honorary Senior Lecturer at University College London.
She was President of the British Society for Allergy and Clinical Immunology (BSACI) 2009-11, having been its Secretary 2007-9. In 2006, she won the BSACI William Frankland Award for outstanding contribution to clinical allergy in the UK and she has been awarded the title of Allergist of the Year 2011 by Allergy UK. In 2012 she was awarded Outstanding Clinician by WAO and in 2013 she won two awards: the Clemens von Pirquet from EAACI and the Walter Jobson Horne from the British Medical Association for clinical research in ENT.
Glenis is the author of over 300 peer- reviewed papers. She instigated the BSACI UK Rhinitis guidelines, with a recent new edition. She is also a member of the World Health Organization’s Allergic Rhinitis and its Impact on Asthma and Sublingual Immunotherapy committees, European Paediatric Rhinosinusitis and Allergic Rhinitis Task Forces, with contributions to each of these guidelines.
