Dr Rossa Brugha

London

Dr Brugha studied medicine in Oxford before Paediatric and sub-specialty Respiratory training in London at the Royal Brompton and Great Ormond Street. He studied for his PhD at Barts and The London under Prof Jonathan Grigg, where he looked at the effect of particulate matter air pollution on macrophages and dendritic cells in children with asthma.

Following this he was an Academic Clinical Lecturer under Prof Jane Davies at Imperial College London, studying the effects of air pollution on children with cystic fibrosis. He has spoken at the British Science Festival and, very occasionally, extremely briefly, on TV about the effects of air pollution on children’s lungs.
