Prof Warren Lenney
I commenced my role as paediatric respiratory advisor in the GSK Global Medical Expert Team in November 2015. I have been in respiratory paediatrics for over 40 years. I have twice been Chair of the British Paediatric Respiratory Society and led its joining with the British Thoracic Society.
From 2009-2015 I was the Founding Editor of Paediatric Respiratory Reviews and chaired the UK Paediatric Formulary Committee which publishes the British National Formulary for Children.
I was Consultant Respiratory Paediatrician at the Royal Stoke University Hospital and Professor of Respiratory Child Health, Keele University and remain part-time professor at Keele. I have published over 250 medical articles, editorials, books and videos.
From 2006-2014 I chaired the British Paediatric Respiratory Research Committee and was Director of the W Midlands Medicines for Children Research Network. In 2010 I ran the London marathon and beat my son who has never forgiven me
