Dr Alexandra Nanzer, PhD, is a Consultant Respiratory Physician at Guy’s Severe Asthma Center, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK.  She is a Senior Lecturer and Lead for Respiratory Undergraduate Education at King’s College London, UK.

At Guy’s Severe Asthma Center, Dr Nanzer leads the regional Asthma Transition Service and she has established a multi-disciplinary team supporting adolescents and young adults as they transition from paediatric care to the Guy’s Severe Asthma Centre.

She has a specialist interest in the adverse metabolic, skeletal and psychological effects of oral steroid therapy in severe asthma and she designed and oversees a biomarker led steroid weaning clinic.
