After having specialized in Paediatrics in Genoa (Italy), Dr Trucco has been working three years as Neuromuscular Clinical Research Fellow at Gaslini Children Institute, taking part, as Sub-Investigator, to clinical trials on medical therapies for paediatric neuromuscular disorders.

She is particularly interested in the respiratory complications of these diseases, the core of her PhD project. During a one-year fellowship at Royal Brompton Hospital, she has improved her skills in the diagnosis of sleep disordered breathing and in their management with non-invasive and invasive ventilation.
