Dr Ian Balfour-Lynn is a paediatric respiratory consultant at the Royal Brompton Hospital (since 1997), although has retired from NHS clinical work in March 2023. He works in one of the UK’s premier paediatric respiratory units, situated within one of the largest UK postgraduate specialist heart and lung centres, and is lead for Quality Improvement in the Paediatric CF unit. He is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College School of Medicine. He specialises in all aspects of paediatric respiratory medicine in his private clinic, and is also involved in medicolegal work.
