Dr James Allinson

Dr James Allinson is a consultant respiratory physician at The Royal Brompton Hospital specialising in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and respiratory failure. He is also a Senior Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College London and his research interests include characterising how COPD develops across the life course, improving diagnostics to identify COPD earlier, and identifying novel therapeutic opportunities. He co-edited the ERS Monograph on COPD in the 21st Century. James is also a member of the ATS Publications Policy Committee, the Global Lung Function Initiative (GLI) Advisory board, and the Forum of International Respiratory Societies (FIRS) Lung Health Taskforce Advisory board.
