Dr Tim Newson is a retired NHS paediatrician with a special interest in respiratory medicine, medical education and humanities including narrative medicine.

Since retirement from the NHS, after 36 years service, he has continued with an interest in humanities in healthcare in particular through writing, poetry and painting. Recent release of new medical memoir “Trust me l’m exhausted How not to train a doctor” by Dr Harry Stone with illustrations explores doctor training and patient experience in the NHS past, present and future.
