Professor Paolo Pianosi

Professor Paolo Pianosi

Born & raised in Canada. Obtained MD from University of Toronto, completed a paediatric residency at University of Ottawa, and paediatric respiratory medicine fellowship at McGill University in Montreal. Started as Assistant Professor of Paediatrics & Child Health at University of Manitoba, then Associate Professor at Dalhousie University where tenure granted.

After practicing in Canada for 15 years, moved to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN – practiced another 12 years, became Full Professor level in Paediatric & Adolescent Medicine. After brief time at King’s College Hospital in April 2017, returned to the USA in July 2018, as Professor of Paediatrics at the University of MN. Research interests lie in respiratory physiology, particularly physiology of exercise.

Professor Pianosi is an Associate Editor of the journal Paediatric Exercise Science.
