Professor Paul Brand (1961) has worked as a consultant paediatrician for respiratory and allergic diseases at the Isala Hospital in Zwolle, the Netherlands, from 1997 to 2018. He is well known for his work on preschool asthma and adherence to controller medication. He is currently the Dean of Medical Education and Faculty Development at the same hospital, and professor of Clinical Medical Education at the University Medical Centre in Groningen, the Netherlands.

Paul’s research interests include lifelong learning, shared decision making, providing effective and constructive feedback, and on the learning environment in clinical medical education.
