Prof Roy K. Philip

Prof Philip is an adjunct full professor of neonatology and consultant neonatologist at the University of Limerick School of Medicine and University Hospitals, Ireland. He served as president of the Irish Paediatric Association (2007-2012) and clinical director of Maternal and Child Health at University of Limerick Hospitals. He holds an MD in Paediatrics, MBA in Healthcare Management, and PhD in Neonatology focusing on human milk's bioactive roles.

With over 50 publications featured in The New York Times, BBC, and Euronews, he invented the Neo-safe® blood sampling device. His research interests include exclusive human milk diet, maternal vaccinations, RSV prevention, and neonatal unit design.
