Steve trained in paediatrics around the North East of England, with extended spells in New Zealand and Australia. He has been a consultant paediatrician in Aberdeen since 2003, working as a general paediatrician and a respiratory paediatrician. His research interest include early origins of disease and monitoring asthma. Steve became RCPCH president in March 2024.
