About US
Atul Gupta’s passion for sharing evidence based knowledge on paediatric respiratory medicine drove his desire to develop this extraordinary conference. With a small educational grant to begin with, he took this idea and with hard work and commitment made it one of the most desirable conferences to attend world wide. In the last 10 years, the meeting has acquired an outstanding reputation amongst professionals & has changed the landscape of respiratory education with > 2500 HCPs attending the event.
In 2020, the pandemic forced the conference & masterclass to transition to a digital model at short notice. The planning for the 2020 conference was nearly complete when COVID-19 entered public awareness in the UK. Although other major conferences were cancelled, we chose to commit to our delegates and to proceed with as much of our programme as could be converted to a digital conference, running over the same dates as originally planned. They were attended by > 1,000 delegates from 28 countries & received an 88.7% satisfaction rating, with 91.6% saying it met or exceeded their learning needs. We published our lessons learnt transitioning to a digital conference during the COVID-19 pandemic .
We are delighted to share that we were short listed by the Event Technology Awards 2020 under the category of best pivot from physical to virtual.
Whether digital or face to face, we are proud that this forum provides a collaborative and educational environment for all professionals involved in paediatric respiratory medicine to meet, share ideas and learn. This annual conference brings together physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, nutritionists, social workers and pharmacists from around the world to discuss and share ideas on the latest advances in the field.
In 2021, in light of the global health emergency and many travel restrictions, we made the decision to keep the conference as fully virtual in a digital format. We were excited to innovate further by creating an engaging virtual conference that was rewarding for both presenters and attendees. It is more important than ever for us to connect with the Pediatric Respiratory family to share data and learn from each other & provide educational opportunities and we are pleased to provide a forum in which to do that. We also are aware of the popularity of our digital masterclasses and will continue to bring them to our community going forward.
